Partnership of UNC Charlotte's Belk College of Business with NC State Ports Authority

The Belk College of Business has entered into a partnership with the North Carolina State Ports Authority (NC Ports) that will support the College's undergraduate program in international business.

The North Carolina State Ports Authority is excited to partner with UNC Charlotte's business school in an effort to improve our ports' competitiveness, while bringing-in a unique way-greater visibility of our ports to our State's international business hub.

Dr. Alan Shao, Director of undergraduate international business programs at the Belk College and former President of the Charlotte World Trade Association, will hold the title "North Carolina Ports Professor of Marketing and International Business" in recognition of this partnership, which will sponsor scholarships, fund marketing research, support faculty development and research, provide operation funds, and a host of other services.
